Quick & Easy Projects - December Holiday Catalogue Blog Hop - ESAP

Hello lovelies & welcome! For those who don't know me, I'm Sharni Haines from South Australia. Today I'm thrilled to be part of ESAP's Holiday Blog Hop No. 2! The theme is quick and easy projects we can make ready for Christmas using supplies from the Holiday Catalogue. Yippie! You may have just come from Rebecca Scur's fantastic blog.

Now it's December, Yah! it's getting busier and we naturally become time poor around this time of year. Believe me...I KNOW! But we also want to create beautiful homemade gifts from the heart for our loved ones and friends.

Well, I have an idea that will hopefully inspire and give you some ideas with minimal fuss but will put a smile on the faces of those you gift.

Who said Christmas needs to be Green and Red? This year I'm going for pale blue and soft Pink.

I have used the Baker's Boxes to hold some of my favourite Chocolates, they make pretty gifts for neighbours, work friends, teachers and your hairdresser!! (and don't they deserve it ...all that 'therapy' they give for free each year!).

The Baker's Boxes come in a flat pack of 8, and are sooooo quick and easy to assemble,

( quicker than making your own boxes at this time of year!)

With a little bit of stamping, a splash of colour from the Stampin' Blends©

and a few die cuts...voila! You have a lovely (already gift wrapped) pressie for that someone special.

How did I do it?

First I chose my colour palate, and in this case I was wanting a small gift to decorate my Christmas Table for a party I am throwing for my beautiful customers. The table and decorations are Pink, Blue, White Silver and Gold.

You, of course can choose your own favourite colours.

Once I assembled all my boxes, I started by tying some Silver Metallic Edge Ribbon around the whole box. I then cut Pool Party Cardstock 4 & 2/16" (10.5cm) square for the top and cut out the middle square with a square die.

The strips of Pool Party around the outside edge of the box are 4 & 2/16th"(10.5cm) by 1" (2.5cm). They were all stamped with Pool Party Ink using the Timeless Textures Stamp Set.

I glued the cardstock strips on OVER the top of the ribbon to help hold it in place.

I added a little piece of Silver Mini Sequin Trim to the ribbon with a simple knot for some extra bling.

Next I used the So Santa Stamp Set with the Memento Black Ink to set the Christmas scene, fussy cut him out and coloured him in with the Stampin' Blends©

- Pool Party, Ivory, Smoky Slate, Rich Razzleberry (L), Granny Green, Poppy Parade and Crumb Cake.

Then I used some dimensionals to mount Santa on top of Pool Party Cardstock and Whisper White that were cut out with the awesome Stitched Framelits ( best buy ever).

The last touch was a piece of Silver Glitter Paper underneath the Christmas greeting. (tip- I always use dimentionals to glue anything to Glitter Paper.)

SHORT CUT.....

If you still want to create something personal and from your heart but REALLY have no time whats so ever...skip the Pool Party decorations, only cut one l Stitched Oval in Pool Party, forget the greeting and Sequins and colour only parts of Santa in.

You still have some special, cute and handmade to celebrate the season and your lucky recipients will LOVE it!

(shhhhhhhh....)

Here is a sneaky peak of my dining table I'm getting ready for next weekend's Christmas Parties. Maple Stampers...look away!!

I hope this gives you some good ideas and inspiration! I wish you all a very Merry Christmas, peace, joy and love with your family and Friends. x

Thank you for dropping by, enjoy the rest of the fabulous, quick and easy Christmas ideas by talented Stampin' Demonstrators from all over Australia & New Zealand.
