Hello lovelies it's been a little while since I've posted...a lot has been going on in my corner of the world. Last weekend I hosted my Maples Getaway in the beautiful Adelaide Hills with 18 lovely ladies. We stamped, scrapbooked, made cards created altered picture frames and even knitted! All our meals were cooked for us and no dishes! We stayed up late and could sleep in as long as we wished. Oh it was bliss.
One of the fun things many to join in with at the getaway is a 3D and or card swap. This year I created a 'So Santa Tin'. I choose soft colours to go with the Copper Tea Tin and ribbon (Pool Party & Petal Pink Blends). Santa was fussy cut and stuck on some Whisper White background that I stamped some spots with Pool Party and the Magical Mermaid Stamp Set.
I used Copper Embossing Powder to stamp the greeting and the tin was finished off with a pretty piece of Tea Room Ribbon.
Inside was filled with yummy toffee Bon Bons.
The other 3D swaps were really lovely, I was impressed with what everyone had created...there was a super cute paper Bon Bon, some delicious Lemon Curd, a Lemon Sugar Foot Scrub, a beautiful smelling jar of bath salts, some awesome handmade earrings...(the blue looking parcel is actually a collection of sweet cards that were supposed to be in the card swap photo!)
....and this sweet bookmark (sorry not the best photo as the colours were gorgeous) last but not least, a super cute snake!
Some of the wonderful ladies at busy at their craft.
We had door prizes, pillow gifts each day and goodie bags.
Did I mention we had a massage therapist visit us on Saturday? Lots of lucky ladies had neck, shoulders and feet massages...a little pampering doesn't hurt does it?
Speaking of pampering, everyone kindly brought an item for the cheese platter we made up and enjoyed over the course of the weekend. It was a great alternative to eating sweet things all the time.
We managed to get a lovely photo of all of us together plus a special little visitor baby Darcey - Kelly's beautiful boy who is being held by Mrs.Michelle S. Kelly is in the middle row with the sunglasses on her head.
We also did card swaps and I did get some items mixed up in my photos...as you can see the 3D bookmark has joined the group and I missed out one card swap as it's in the 3D photos!
Arhhhh! Anyway they were all lovely and it was a really nice thing to do.
I would like to thank all the beautiful ladies who came along and I'm already planning and taking bookings the next one in June 2019!
