Social Stamping - Animals May 23, 2020

Updated: May 24, 2020

Hello lovelies,

welcome to our Social Stamping Blog Host.

I'm Sharni Haines from South Australia, I have joined a group of Demonstrators brought together by the lovely Kelly Kent. We are Demonstrators from all over who wish to help everyone connect through our art and passion of stamping and paper crafting.

This weeks theme is ANIMALS! I really love to use animals in my cards, they are so cute! And since one of my best friends is a Spoodle, well....say no more. Pets can be the best companions, they love you unconditionally (unless it's a goldfish?), never question or judge you and are always there for you.

After seeing everyone's beautiful pets / fur babies, I had to add mine in too! This is our daughter Sapphire holding Charlie Girl...she was very proud to match their outfits!! LOL...social isolation has driven us to new heights!!

You may have started here or have come from the wonderful and talented Julia Quinn

Today I used some new products from Forever Greenery Suite Collection (p.108). I love green and plants, so this collection was a must for me!The ribbon is one of the new In Colours, Just Jade and coordinates nicely with the new Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the Forever Greenery collection.

I added one little Enamel Dot from the new 2020-2022 In Colour collection just underneath the sentiment.

The sentiment was stamped in Basic Grey and is from the Rooted In Nature Cling-Mount Stamp Set, which is also carrying over to the new Catalogue.

Apart from the animal inspiration, I have some friends who are currently unwell and I thought of them whilst making this card.

The animals came from a stamp set that is current and will be carrying over into the new catalogue that will be released June 3...so I am very happy, because I feel I haven't used this stamp set enough. I stamped, coloured in with Stampin' Blends and fussy cut them out.

Back on your feet is a super cute set and will still be available in the new catalogue.

I used some of these dies from the new Tasteful Labels Dies (p.179) on my card.

I stamped the sentiments and then hand drew around them to make them look like comments given from the injured animals. They were held up with some window sheet strips.

The wooden looking DSP (Designer Series Paper) is from the In Good Taste collection...looks so real doesn't it?

This is such a cool pop up card and I got the original tutorial from Nicole Wilson (from The Dimensionals Team , May Tutorial Bundle) - you can get the instructions here. (Her original card is a lovely floral).

All the foliage die cuts were from the new Forever Flourishing Dies (p.175) out of the new 2020/21 Annual Catalogue. I used Pear Pizzazz, Garden Green & the new Just Jade Cardstock with the dies.

Well that's all for now, thanks for spending some time with me and I appreciate all your lovely comments you take the time to send!

Stay safe, happy and healthy, and hang on...it's not much longer now and we will all be let out of our caves!!

A massive thank you to Kelly for once again hosting such a fun event. x

Loves & hugs,
