Stamping Sunday Blog Hop Bish, Bash, Bosh - July 2023

Hello lovelies,

I am Sharni Haines from South Australia. Welcome to our monthly Sunday Stamping Blog Hop. We get together every 3rd Sunday of the month. This month we are creating a project and giving our top tips.

I have use Alcohol Ink (Stampin' Blends), isopropyl alcohol and Vellum to make this card.

You can find the isopropyl alcohol at Bunnings, Mitre 10 or other Hardware stores, it needs to be a high % of alcohol mine is 99%.

TOP TIP: don't just use a piece of vellum to add your colour and alcohol, it tends to curl up. If you adhere it to a piece of Thick Basic White Cardstock, this tends to help keep the material flat.

The first step was to adhere a piece of Basic White Cardstock to some Vellum using Adhesive Sheets. I cut a piece measuring 6" x 6".

Then add some ink to the paper, I used a collection of greens to one side then add the blues (see next picture) to the other side.

I added small amounts of the isopropyl alcohol to the paper with a small tipped bottle and using a blower or puffer devise, I gently blew the ink about the paper as it was drying. (It does dry very fast).

Here is the finished look of adding the ink, then blowing the isopropyl alcohol over the top of it.

I stamped my seaweed with Black StazOn Ink and die cut them out.

I used Beauty of the Deep Stamp & Die Bundle.

The first card I made I used more purple ink.
