Stamping Sunday Blog Hop Simply the Best- December 2023

Hello lovelies,

I am Sharni Haines from South Australia. Welcome to our monthly Sunday Stamping Blog Hop. We get together every 3rd Sunday of the month. This month's theme is Simply the Best - clean & simple cards! This is a hudge personal challenge for me (lol) as I do find it hard not to just keep adding layer upon layer uopn layer!!

But I do appreciate the simple clean cards.

So, let's see how I go....

So this really is a clean & simple design that anyone can create. You need no artisitic skill what's so ever!!

Let me talk you through how I made this card...it really is a fast and simple card, the longest part was adding the tape around the edges. This is a low tack 'painters' type tape. To ensure it won't rip off any paper upon removal, I always stick the tape to my clothes a few times to decrease the tackiness even more.

Next step is to choose your image. I have a new stamp set - Painted Lavender, it's from the 2024 Mini Catalogue that goes live in Jan 5th. I used Gorgeous Grape Ink and stamped off before stamping onto the cardstock.

After stamping the flowers, I added a light shade of Balmy Blue ink wwith my Blending Brush.

Then I added a sentiment from Nature's Prints.

To help create the 'watercolour' look I embossed the cardstock once I was finished with all my stamping.

Then simply adhered the cardstock to a card base.
