Hello lovelies,
I hope you are all doing well? I have been waiting for this adorable paper collection to arrive from Mintay - The Wildwood Secrets. It is full of forest animals, plants & mushrooms and I just LOVE it!
As soon as I saw Mintay's Woodies Gate Cupboard and this paper collection, I knew I was going to do something fun with these items. This is what I came up with...

...a sweet and enchanting little cupboard that opens up to a whole new world inside.

I started by assembling the Woodies Gate Cupboard (comes unpainted in a 12"x 12" flat pack). The once I chose my desired paper, I painted the wood to match the colours in the paper design.

The images on the 12" x12" paper collection are just so adorable, it was at first hard to decide what to use and where.
But one I made my decisons, everything else just started to follow.

It was very hard at first to leave the front of this cupboard so simple, but the ivy & the cute squirrel quietly set the scene for what is to come once those gate doors are opened.

There is a window sheet (Acetate), behind the window box, which makes it a little tricky to see the details inside. I added some faux fern leaves, resin mushrooms (I hand poured) and some coconut fibre along with some moss to help make the Paper Die Cuts look like they were in a real forest.

Once the forest flora was added, it was not hard to place all the lovely die cut images of the Wildwood Secrets - the animals and the plants are cut so well and need little if any inking, just add some dimention (foam adhevsive) to the back of each image and hot glue into place.

I added a set of fairly lights before I started embellishing the cupboard and attached it here on the side of the cupboard, made a hole through the wood and threated the lights inside.
I then painted the battery pack and covered it with this die cut fox image and some moss.

Here you may be able to see the little fairy lights behind all the images and plants.
After handpouring the mushrooms (from various moulds I had in my stash), I went about painting them, paying attention to attempting to match the colours of the die cut mushrooms.

I forgot to photograph the back of the cupboard, where I covered it in more of the gorgeous paper.
This project is one of my classes for August - it is fully booked now, but I did make a video tutorial how I created this. You can find it in my shop HERE.
