I'm Sharni Haines from Australia and I have a fun Christmas project to show you.
I have stamped on a candle and made a gift box to hold and display it.
To stamp on a candle you will need white tissue paper, wax paper, the images you want to stamp, ink and a heat gun.
I used Merry Moose from the Holiday Catalogue and Soft Suede Ink.
I stamped on both sides of the candle.
The box size when complete is 6 & 3/4"x 2 & 7/8" (16.5cm x 7.5cm). I designed it to fit a pillar candle 5 & 3/4" x 2 &5/8" (15cm x 7cm).
The original style base of the box I got from Pootles.com. I just altered it to fit my candle and put a window in it.
I wrapped it all up with the Very Vanilla/Copper Classic Weave Ribbon.
INSTRUCTIONS
-I used a 12"x12" Whisper White Cardstock and cut it to 9.5" x 12",
- stamped a sentiment from the Still Scenes Cling Stamp Set using the Golden Glitz Delicata Metallic Ink Pad randomly over the paper
- scored at 2 & 7/8", 5 & 3/4", 8 & 5/8" and 11 &1/2".
-turn one turn and score 2 & 7/8".
- cut out window with Stitched Rectangle Dies, add a piece of Window Sheet (Acetate)
- glue sides of box then the base
LID INSTRUCTIONS
- Cut a 6 x6" square of Gold Foil, score 1.5" on all sides.
He is another candle I stamped using retired stamps. You can add a sweet tag to the finished product, which is what I will most likely do. This will be my class project for next week with my lovely Maple Stampers, I look forward to seeing everyone and having some fun!
