Hello lovelies,
I am Sharni Haines from South Australia. Welcome to our monthly Sunday Stamping Blog Hop. We get together every 3rd Sunday of the month. This month's theme is Celebrating the Good Times.
One of the upcoming celebrations for our family and friends is Christmas. So I took the opportunity to create a festive fun wreath!
To start - I choose my colour palette - Granny Apple Green, Coastal Cabana, Melon Mambo, Calypsos Coral & Highland Heather.
Using the Blending Brushes, I brushed the ink onto sheets of Basic White, then splattered with a bit of water using my water painter.
Once the paper was dry, I added a little 'golden touch' from my personal Gold Metallic Ink Supply. I use an unused pizza box to catch all my splatters.
Once this gold ink was dry, it was time to die cut out all my images. You can also see here where I have die cut (from Textured Floral Dies) White Cardstock and then traced an outline with a black marker to add interest to the leaves.
I used the new Merriest Trees Stamp & Die Bundle to create cute little gifts, Stars cut from Gold Glimmer Paper & the deer were from the Grove Dies.
I didn't end up using the purple part of the paper, but I was happy with the rest of the colour combination. The sentiment is from the Stars at Night Stamp Set. It was embossed with Black Embossing Powder.
This card is a 6x6" card made from a sheet of 12x12" Basic White Cardstock. The embellishments are Pastel Adhevsive-Backed Sequins.
So there you have it! A very unconventional style Christmas Wreath. You can see a super short video of how I constructed on my Instagram Channel.
