Hello lovelies! I hope you are all feeling well today?
Coming in the new Catalogue (Next Friday..YaY!!) is a new product to Stampin' Up!...
BigShot Embossing Silicone Mats.
I have had a chance to play with it and try them out. I thought I would share it with you and see what you think.

This card was embossed with one of the new Dies 'Springtime Impressions', which is actually designed to CUT your cardstock, but with the new Silicone Embossing Mats, you can make a lovely impression without cutting!
I love that.

So What does it look like? There are 3 Mats that come with the pack. A thin Blue Silicone Rubber Mat, a thicker Grey Silicone Rubber Mat and hard White plastic Impressions Pad.
They are designed to use with your Sizzix BigShot. I have made a few videos on how I created these cards.

There are many things you can do with these mats, and there will be more information from Stampin' Up! about them.
Here you can see what I did with the Blue Silicon Rubber Mat - I embossed Butterfly Images over the cardstock and used it as a soft background impression. (The Butterfly Die is part of the same new 'Springtime Impressions' Dies & Thinlits.)

This Butterfly was cut out with the Die as normal in the BigShot, then I placed it back into the Die and ran it through the BigShot again this time using the Grey Silicone Rubber Mat and the White plastic Impressions Pad. I'ts a bit hard to see, but the result gave me a more dimensional finish on my cut butterfly.
To learn a little more and see the Embossing Silicone Mats in use - you can watch these two short videos.

That's all for now!
