Hello lovelies, I hope you are all well? It feels good to finally get back into my craft studio and start creating again!
As many of you may know, I, with my beautiful family have been on holiday in the UK traveling around from London to Bath for the last 3 weeks where we had an amazing adventure on a Long Boat traveling up the Kennet/Avon Canal with some great friends followed by a week in the Cotswolds where we saw lots of divine gardens and feasted on many Afternoon Teas! (we call them High Teas in Australia).
It was really nice to get away and experience something new - but I'm glad to be home and back to my paper crafting.
My husband's parents and my parents kindly house sat while we were away and looked after our fur babies...2 British Blue Cats and the gorgeous Charlie Girl our Spoodle. We saw many many Poodle Mixes in the UK and that made it even harder for me as I really missed my Charlie. Funny enough, what we refer to a Cocker Spaniel /Poodle cross ...a Spoodle, they - the English call a CockaPoodle. And Dogs can go virtually anywhere with the owner, shops, pubs, hotels and so on. They even have menus for dogs!
Getting back to my card ...this thank you card was made for my parents for their house sitting (along with some pressies!)
It was made using the beautiful Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper. The wreath is already an image printed on the paper, so I just cut it out, mounted it a little higher with some Dimensionals over the top of 2 Pearlized Doilies and some pretty Powder Pink 3/8" Shimmer Ribbon. The grey background paper has a lovely marbled finish (also Petal Promenade). The last finishing touches were a few Share What You Love Artisan Pearls and a bow tied using some Silver & Petal Pink Baker's Twine.
It is an effective and relatively quick and easy card to make - for almost any occasion.
