Shutter Card Tutorial

Hello Lovelies,

I hope you are having a great day?

I have finally completed a tutorial to share with you on how to create a Shutter Card.

This is a fun and interactive card that always puts a smile on the crocodile!

When closed, the Belly Band decorates the cover. It slides off and then the magic happens!

Here are the measurements to make this card.

SHUTTER CARD

PART A – Base Cardstock (Very Vanilla)

1. 12”x6”, Score at 3” & 9”

2. 9”x4” – Score ½” at each end along the long side.

3. 3 ¾”x3 ¾”

4. 6”x4”

5. 2 ½”x5 ½”

PART B -Contrast Cardstock (Pink)

1. 5 ¾”x5 ¾” (glue to the inside of the card in the middle square)

2. 5 ¾”x2 ¾” (x2) (glue to the inside flaps on either side)

3. 6 7/8”x3 7/8” (Glue this to 8”x4” Vanilla & cut square out of the middle)

PART C – Patterned Paper

1. 5 1/5”x2 ¾” (x2) (glue onto outside flaps

2. 5 ¾”x3 ¾” (glue to 4”x6” vanilla & cut out circle in the centre

BELLY BAND

2”X 11 3/4 – Score 2 3/8, 2 ¼, 8 4/8, & 8 5/8 “. I also score a second time very close to the first score lines to allow the belly band to fold around the bulky card easily.

DIES

1. The largest Circle Die – 3” – (Layering Circles Framelits)

2. The 5th biggest 3” Square Die (Squares Collection)

I have also created a video explaining in detail how to put it all together.

I hope you find this useful and enjoy creating your own Shutter Card!

I'd love to see what you make, don't be shy, send me a picture!

Take care,

loves & hugs
