Hello lovelies,
welcome to a fun hop with the ESAD (Extra Special Australasian Demonstrators) I am thrilled to join this lovely group of Demonstrators to share with you some fabulous creations made with products that will be retiring in the Stampin'Up! Annual Catalogue May 3rd, 2021.
I am Sharni Haines from South Australia and I would like to thank the lovely Nicole Wilson for hosting and inviting me to join this Hop! You may have started here, or come from Cathy Pinchbeck from Canberra.
I was up super early this morning, and there were Anzac Day Memorials going on all around the country - I am sure I heard a trumpet way up our street...it always brings a tear to my eye thinking about the sacrifices and hardship that so many suffered for our country. While I was watching some of the memorials on TV, I realized I should have made a card with a poppy or something more appropriate for the day.
I did however, design a card using a few of my favourite products that are sadly retiring from the catalogue...but maybe not from my shelves!!
I built the card up with a few layers - starting with a Basic White card base, then a smaller piece of Basic White that I embossed with the Subtle Embossing Folder. I stamped this using Grey Granite Ink and images from the Beauty Abounds Stamp.
The next layer was one of the wreaths I cut out with Basic White from the Wreath Builder Dies - I cut this in half. The leaves went on next, mixed with a bit of White Bakers Twine that I thinned out by separating the threads.
The leaves are from Natures Roots Dies. I water coloured them onto FLUID 100 WATERCOLOR PAPER with Pear Pizzazz and Granny Apple Green Reinkers.
The flowers were coloured the same way as the leaves (Melon Mambo & Flirty Flamingo) and cut out with flower dies from the Wreath Builder Dies. I placed a bit of bling onto each flower - ELEGANT FACETED GEMS which are continuing in the new catalogue.
The sentiment is from Beauty Abounds.
I finished off the card with a few ink splatters from the new Dark Evening Evergreen Stampin' Blend.
Well that's all from me, thanks so much for popping in, have a wonderful day!
Keep hopping around to see what everyone else has created and don't forget to make our day by leaving us some comments. Click onto the arrow to check out what awesome things Cheryl Algie has made.

Fresh out of the bath!
Gorgeous card Sharni, the pop of colour with the wreath is a real eye catcher. I'm going to miss all these things too, and like you say, they are retiring.... but maybe not from my shelf. xx
